NeuschwansteinCastleTour

A trip to one of the most famous castles in the world is a must during Oktoberfest. The castle is an architecture masterpiece, but isn’t the only attraction during your trip. Guests travel via a luxury coach bus to the beautiful Algäu region of south-western Bavaria to the charming town of Hohenschwangau, near the Austrian border. There is a spectacular view around every corner, including the incredible surroundings while on Mary’s Bridge.

About the Castle

Located in Germany near Hohenschwangau and Füssen in southwest Bavaria, the majestic Neuschwanstein castle was built by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and as an homage to Richard Wagner, the king’s inspiring muse. Although photography of the interior is not permitted, it is the most photographed building in Germany and is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations. You will also notice immediately the Disney’s Magic Kingdom is modeled after Neuschwanstein, a point that both sides promote with pride.
